About M.E. Flow
A fully licensed, certified business, M.E. Flow was founded in 1951 by Millard Edward Flow. Flow was looking for an opportunity to serve his local community while living in Alexandria with his wife, Katherine. The area was in need of a dependable, trustworthy, and quality HVAC contractor.
During its first three decades, M.E. Flow grew steadily under its founder’s guidance. It really began to take off in the late 1980s when Flow began transitioning from family business to family legacy by successfully convincing his son-in-law, Brian Goulet, his grandson, Scott Goulet, and his granddaughter, Michelle Goulet-Swart, to join him. Today, M.E. Flow, Inc. has three locations serving the entire Northern Virginia area and more than 120 employees, including a host of licensed and highly trained electrical, heating, cooling, and plumbing technicians.
In 2022, M.E. Flow joined Southern Home Services. Headquartered in Maitland, Florida, Southern Home Services operates heating, air conditioning, plumbing and electrical home service businesses in ten states across the United States.

NATE is the nation’s largest industry-endorsed, non-profit certification body for HVAC/R technicians. PHCC is the oldest trade association in the construction industry and the premiere organization for the plumbing-heating-cooling professional. Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA)

NCI Certified
NCI-Certified Professionals have received the highest level of training on the hazards of CO, how to test for them and the means to prevent them in the future. Each NCI-Certified Professional has complete training on proper procedures for venting, combustion air, and fuel adjustment. This training enables them to maximize the efficiency of your fuel-burning appliances and, very importantly, verify everything works safely together.
